  • Current Skippee Events


    Hi!  I haven't been able to go through our Asia photos yet but just wanted to update you all on current Skippee events.  

     

    SMALL NEWS

     

    I applied to become a California real estate broker a long time ago.  Nope, not changing careers...I just wanted to get my broker's license to be able to help our family & friends with buying/selling properties without having to pay commissions.  I kept procrastinating until I found out that my application would be expiring in just a few weeks so I was forced to take the exam.  LUCKILY, I passed!  Yay!

    MEDIUM NEWS

     

    I've retired from law firm life!  Who knows if this is a permanent thing but I just realized that there are so many things that I love doing that I'd rather focus on.  I actually have a "wish list" of over 50 things I want to do (i.e., volunteer at the animal shelter, take more photography classes, learn how to sew).  My main goals now are the pursuit of happiness and helping others.

    BIG NEWS

     

    The biggest and happiest news of all is that we're going to have a BABY!!!  Yup, so that's part of the reason I've been MIA~~ I've been toughing out morning sickness.  The baby is due at the beginning of 2009!   

     

    Bella is going to be a big sister!

    OMG~  Congratulations!!!  That's a wonderful news on the baby!  And the other two also.  I'm so proud of you for leaving your law career to discover and pursue something you enjoy!  Life is too short to be wasting on something you don't love, y'know?  I'm hoping to encourage my hubby to get a formal training in becoming a baker/pastry chef.  It's something he loves...so why not leave his bean-counting job to do that y'know?  He thinks he's too old for it, but I think he's still very young, I mean, nobody's too old to do what they love!  Haha, congrats on passing real estate exam too!  Lots and lots of great things going on over there!  Sorry about your morning sickness, my close friend is finally over her terrible morning sickness phase. (She's due end of this year)  She's an attorney, but she owns her own firm so he's already training someone to fill in for her when she's out being a mommy. 

    What!  I can't believe you're having a baby!  You were talking about it before...then voila!  Hooray!

  • Congratulations!!!  All such great news!  I'm so thrilled for you, especially on the last item :)  It's so funny, I saw Miny at a friend's wedding a couple weeks ago and you came up in our convo--I totally guessed that you had baby news to share!!  heehee.  So so happy for you and Andy
