Taiwan, Bali & Hong Kong
Hi!! Hope you've been having a wonderful summer! Once I stopped working I thought I'd have so much for Xanga. It turns out that I've been busier than ever. Before we leave on our next trip I wanted to make sure I got to post about our Asia trip. It's crazy but we're getting on a plane in less than a week and we haven't decided where yet. Where in the world will Skippee be next week??Here’s a quick recap of our Asia trip...
TAIWAN
My favorite things:
- Hanging with and getting to know Andy's family
- Taking glamour photos (hehe!)
- Yummy food and the best boba in the world
- Finding a cheap but really nice boutique hotel called The Tango
- Watching Andy’s aunt ride a moped
BALI, INDONESIA
I'd definitely recommend Bali! It is an amazing island with gorgeous beaches and so much to do.
My favorite things:
- The villas at the Four Seasons, Jimbaran Bay - each one has a plunge pool!
- Having monkeys climb on us to steal our bananas
- Private dinner on the beach on a bed!
- Meeting rescued elephants who know how to paint, add and play basketball - the sanctuary teaches the world how smart elephants really are
- Food shopping at the local market and taking a Balinese cooking class
- Getting a Balinese massage lesson (we were cracking up the whole time because our "model" was a big ol' Balinese dude) and crafts lesson
- There's a guy from the hotel who goes with you to the airport and escorts you almost all the way through to the gate. He even waits in line for you!
HONG KONG
My favorite things:- Getting to see my favorite international buddies wedBliss (and Charlie), Linnet (and her new baby) & Dave (Hiro from Heroes)
- Exploring Hong Kong again
- Walking around in the rain
PREGNANCY UPDATE
This is for you, Alison~ a photo of my growing belly! I can't believe I'm halfway through my pregnancy already. I'm obsessed with mommas lately. Whenever I see moms I think...wow, these women are amazing!

Oh, Jenny- you had me at "best boba in the world." *lol* Please show us more of your glamour pics! Bali sounds incredible! I love places where there are so many interesting activities to partake in. Argh! I wish I could convince Joe that traveling to Indonesia would not mean the end of his life! You are such a cute mommy-to-be. Looks like Bella is jumping for joy.
I can't believe you're headed off on another adventure already, lucky girl! That's so funny you haven't decided on where to go yet though. How do you guys have the freedom to do that? I feel like I have to plan weeks in advance to just go to Vegas. haha.
where are you going next?

awwww... you look sooo cute with a little bump coming out~ on another note, you glamour shots looks soooo relaxing and nice! i love bali and love hong kong! i'm actually moving my life into the next chapter and quitting my job, so i can be more relaxed and travel more often! i think that is a great idea! enjoy!

half way thru your pregnancy and you're still TINY! You're looking great! I guess the morning sickness is going away about now? Mine started to get much better around the 4-5 month mark.
I know I've said this a million times, but I'm so jealous you get to go on these amazing trips!!!! Everytime you post these things, I just drool... Great to see you doing so well!

@cheendy - the glamour shots were cheesy but so much fun!! we're pretty sure the baby will be a boy~~~ but will confirm for sure in 2 weeks!
You always know how to have fun! I'm SO happy for you! You have to let me know where to visit when I go to HK in 3 weeks!

@petitetokyo - awww~ i hope you'll get the time off to travel soon!! you gotta take advantage of all the close & awesome places in asia while you're there! we're having a hard time finding a place near l.a. to go for our babymoon.
@MissBride - we have no idea where we're going next. it seems like we're so limited because we need to stay fairly close to l.a., go to a safe/clean place with good hospitals, where there are no hurricanes and somewhere tropical that we've never been before. we're leaving in a few days and we still haven't bought tickets yet...eek! i hope you get to second trimester really fast so you start feeling better. hang in there!!
@Daydreamer33 - hi hi! i loved bali...i really hope you can go one day...maybe as more time goes by joe will be more open to the idea of traveling to indonesia. i think bali is so amazing because it has the gorgeous beaches but it also has so much incredible culture and depth to it. i love how you said it looks like bella is jumping for joy~~ hehe! i was so exhausted from our asia travels that i didn't know if i could do a babymoon...but then every single parent we talked to said we HAVE to go before we have a baby. we decided to take their advice...hehe!
@JayMonKeee - yup~ we went to that famous street. andy's cousin told me that every girl in taiwan dreams of getting their wedding photos done at one of the stores on that street~ hehe!
