Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA…I’ve missed you all though. It’ll take me a few days to catch up but I will!
So much has happened…in addition to the pain of losing Gracie something awful happened to my parents. Their house was broken into. Although a lot was taken…thankfully they were okay. Please remember to be safe and also tell your parents to be safe.
So…I read this:
“Weeks have passed. And the pain has not subsided. Every time I think about it, my heart starts racing and I feel like I just got stabbed in the chest. It’s a jolt, still. Gracie’s death.”
I couldn’t believe it. It is as if someone took the words/feelings right out of my heart. That someone was Oprah. Her dog, Gracie, was also tragically killed around the same time. She goes on to say:
“I don’t believe in accidents. I know for sure that everything in life happens to help us live….Thank you for being my saving Gracie. I now know for sure angels come in all forms.”
Thanks to all of you for your incredible gestures…the comments, calls, messages, hugs…everything. It truly helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life.
Anyways, I’ll be catching up with you soon! For now…Happy Halloween!

welcome back- I hope your safari trip was truly outstanding. I can’t wait to see all your pictures! I had to go over your last Gracie post- she was so incredibly adorable. Makes me just cherish every day that much more that I get to spend with my doggies. I love that minnie mouse costume on bella! I wish my dogs were more tolerant of costumes. *lol*
i’m just catching up a little with you and I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Pet’s are like family and your sorrow must be very deep. My you find peace during these times of trouble. So sorry to hear about your parents too, so glad they are safe. hang in there we are all on your side.

Hey girl! I missed you. Look at that Bella (soooo adorable), she’s sitting there like a lion! (I’m talking about the lion picture that follows Bells! Hahaha) Lola didn’t get to dress up this year because she was recovering from her kennel cough and she wasn’t in a good mood. She didn’t get to join her little pals at the local doggy costume party either. Next year perhaps!
Can’t wait to read all about your fantastic trip! I hear you on the skin problem, I think the weather in L.A. is especially harsh on the skin though, the strong sun and dryness totally don’t help at all. My skin improved after moving to NYC, although I’m sure air pollution isn’t doing much good.
I still cry about my old dog Lou. He passed on Thanksgiving morning 2 years ago, so it’s coming up soon. But his loving memories will always be with me and my husband, as well as for those who ever met him. We’ll be reunited with our pets someday at the Rainbow Bridge, and will cross the bridge together. Hang in there Jenny, Gracie has touched so many of us (even me and my husband!) and now she’s in heaven. I am not religious, but I do believe in our pets always being with us in spirit.
