Austin & Esther’s Wedding
Austin, one of my best friends, got married. I call him brother bear…because that’s what he’s been to me all these years. I first met him when I was a freshman in college. I was so scared being on my own and not knowing anyone. Austin took me under his wing and I’ve followed him like a little sister from then on. He lived in a certain dorm, I became his neighbor…he worked at a certain firm, I worked there too…he went to law school, I followed in his footsteps. Even when we’re 80 years old, he’ll still be my big brother bear.
So after all that we’ve been through, I was so truly happy to see Austin meet the love of his life. I knew Esther was special from the first time I met her. She’s one of those people who are just so genuinely nice that you love them instantly. Not only is she beautiful, kind and smart…she adores Austin. I know they are going to have an amazing life together.
Austin~ It seems like just yesterday we were trying to drive to Irvine but ending up near the Mexican border…staying up all night playing Wheel of Fortune online…bravely eating at the Thai place that failed to make a grade. And now, you’re all grown up. No matter how much we grow up or how busy life becomes, I know we’ll always be friends. You are one of the best people I know. I’m so truly proud to see the man you’ve become and the wonderful family you are building.
Esther~ You looked so gorgeous on your wedding day! You did such a fabulous job planning a day filled with love and joy. There were so many touching moments I’ll never forget. Austin is so lucky to have someone like you. Welcome to the family!!

beautiful wedding! i never know what to wear at weddings/formal events. i’m going my brother’s wedding this weekend and i’m still at a loss for what to wear to the rehearsal dinner. i think you chose a great dress though.
ryc: i know, isn’t it such a small small world?? i remember seeing you all bundled up in your cute coat (i recall it was freezing that day…no wonder you were feeling under the weather!) and thinking, “waaaaaaaait a minute….no way, i think that’s skippee!!” i was afraid of scaring you because i think i was staring trying to figure out if it was you or not. hehe. what’s crazy is that i actually don’t even work in the twin towers. i typically work in irvine, but was working from our firm’s LA office just that one day. too bad i didn’t get to talk to you that day!! anyway, i hope you’re feeling much better!

That was such a sweet post. I had a “big brother” in college too. I actually knew him growing up, but we weren’t that close since there was such a big age gap. But when I was doing my undergraduate he was preparing for med school. I don’t know what I would have done without him.
And gotta say, I loved all the dresses you bought.
