Special Etsy Deal
I love Etsy! I love how you can find such unique and creative things. I recently ordered a receiving blanket, diapers to go bag and snuggle blankee from this awesome seller [Maria's Favorites]. Maria is so nice~ she even sent me a bib as a gift.
The diapers to go bag is so convenient to just throw in my regular tote or diaper bag and have everything I need in one place.
The snuggle blankee is perfect to cover Evan in the stroller/at home for now and later he can use it as a security blanket.
Anyways, I love sharing great finds so I asked Maria if she could offer a special discount for my friends. She said yes! I think these things would make a great baby shower gift [maybe in addition to something from the registry]. That’s what I plan on doing! Photo Editing
I got a bunch of questions regarding photo editing so I wanted to share with the rest of you too! I have Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements but it always takes me forever to edit anything…probably because I’m not very good at it! Instead, I use Picnik. There are tons of special effects and editing tools that are really easy to use. You can edit your photos from so many different sources [your computer, facebook, Picasa, flickr]. Enjoy and show me some of your masterpieces…hehe!

You know the feeling…you can’t wait for the next step in your life. That was me. I couldn’t wait to go to college, finish college, go to law school, finish law school, pass the bar, get a good job, get engaged, get married, have a baby, etc. I just couldn’t wait. I think it’s just human nature to look ahead and want to attain more.
It’s great to look forward to the future and aspire for certain goals…but I think it’s also important to enjoy the moment you’re in. I feel that more than ever now with Evan. Although I’m excited for the day he starts sleeping longer, talking, walking, etc., I truly want to cherish this moment in time. I know I’m going to miss it. I’ll miss the quiet moments we have together when I’m feeding him in the middle of the night and he’s snuggled in my arms looking up at me. I’ll miss kissing his tiny fingers and toes. I’ll miss the fact that we are the center of his world. Evan is so precious~ I love the pics with his bears and Bella! You are so right that it goes by way too fast. I’m looking forward to baby #2 so that I can have a little little baby again! I know it hasn’t been that long since C was like that but it feels like its been eons~
i love the photostrip style pictures you posted. i need to learn to edit pictures. Husband and I never have good pictures. We can have the same camera, same lens, go to the exact same places as others and our pictures always suck.
I totally know the feeling of looking forward to the next stage in life. I just want to slow things down now and enjoy the moment. I think this just shows that I am getting old. haha
omg, evan~ i can’t wait to cover your little face & your pudgy belly with kisses!!! callie has a pudgy belly too and i just think that’s the cutest thing! evan also has the cutest little pout too… evan, you remind me a lot of my little one!!! wow, he’s gotten big… he can almost sit up by himself!
i totally hear you about chrishing the moments. at times, i can’t wait for her to get a little bigger so we can be more interactive but at times during breastfeeding, when she looks up at me and smiles, i just want that moment to last forever. i’m going to so sad when she no longer fits so snugly in my arms… *sniff sniff* sung gets sad too when he thinks about her going off to college and says she can only attend college on the west coast. haha, we’re such sappy parents… whatever happened to us?!?!
ah, it’s great to see bella get along so well with evan. great job hunnie for making it all work! we still haven’t found a new home for charlie but seeing your photos, i’m almost considering trying to make it work. sigh, i don’t know yet…
i just wrote you the biggest email and here i am babbling again on your xanga.. what’s it about you that makes me talk non-stop? i can’t wait to sit there and gossip with you in person soon!!! =)

awww E is so cute! You are totally right, they grow up way too fast. I get really upset when I realize it is time to put something away…so sad~ YES treasure the time you have eeven tho it is hard…people told me that and I didn’t believe it, I just wanted her to get older. I realize what people meant now~ :-/
he’s adorable. so precious! my baby isn’t even a whole year older than E and i am already forgetting what that infant/baby stage was like. so sad! i love etsy too, although i’ve never bought anything from there. thanks for thinking of us mommies and asking for the discount. everything is really cute!

he’s grown so much! hope the bfeeding is going well for you both. the hubs and I are at odds about what we want the sex of our future child to be (like we have a choice, right?) I’ve always wanted my first child to be a girl. He naturally wants a son, a mini him. But seeing pics of your son is making me want a boy bad…I want to raise a mamma’s boy!
i just installed PS CS4 on my laptop. i’m hoping to master the software soon so I can start posting better photos!
omgosh what a change between weeks 6 and 7! he’s getting more handsome each day it seems.
love the sentiment in the last part of your post. i have a love-hate relationship with c’s night wakings. well, i guess i’d love it more if he’d only wake once a night…instead of like 7 times. but it’s a great moment rocking him back to sleep in my arms. during the day, there’s always other stuff going on so i need to put him down as soon as he’s drowsy enough. in the middle of the night, i have no choice but to hold him till he’s all limp and sleepy otherwise he’ll wake up crying again. but it’s really wonderful.

Yes I know what you mean. I’ve been so busy trying to get to the next level…and now I’m finally “learning” to slow down. I still want to enjoy my time with Jason a little more…but baby time is being talked and thought about even more. Living in the moment is so hard!
I sometimes go to Etsy just for inspiration. It’s such a cool website…and a dangerous place to waste way too much time on! i love your entry!
love the pic of him with his big teddy! he looks soooo tiny! the lyrics to that song is very true! i miss the baby stage so much!!! when she’s sleeping, i just gaze at her and wish she was a tiny baby again. oooh i’m gonna have to look into Picnik… i use PS CS3 also and it’s a lot of work when there’s 100+ photos to edit!

That first picture where Evan’s trying to bite the dog’s ear- so funny! The next picture it’s like he’s saying, “boy, that took a lot of effort.” And the last picture shows him asleep from all the activity. *lol*

life is just passing us by too quickly huh? i know what you mean about being anxious for the next step, i keep trying to tell myself to slow down and even though life has been tossing me tons of lemons (hence the mia posting) im trying to learn to make lemonade and every day, i look to try to live life as simply grateful as possible and reading others feeling the same gratefulness and seeing the great things happening for other people, makes me smile and makes me remember all the other goods that are out there to treasure. i dont know if that made, that was such a run-on non sense sentence. haha.

Yes, u are absolutely right, time pass real fast, we need to enjoy every moment with them – which is why i only work during Stan’s school hours, then after school, I’m all his !! Eheheheh. @MissBride - you should definitely check out the picnik site, esp. when your little guy gets here and you have lots of photos of him. it’s so easy that even a sleep deprived mama can use it! most of the things just take one click and it makes the photos look so much better! yes~ do try to slow down and enjoy the moment if you can! i know it’s probably hard right now with the baby almost here but there might be a day you look back and look back fondly at this time. i was just thinking about how nice it was during the last few weeks of my pregnancy (minus the aches & pains) when i just took naps all day, went out to eat all the time and had date nights with andy.

He is so adorable, Jenny. I love his buddha belly. It is so true. Even though Wyatt is only 5 months old. I already miss the newborn stage. *sniff* *sniff* This is my last baby too. I think this baby is going to even more spoiled than Ariana since he will be my last. Even is so precious.

I agree w/you about enjoying the moment. Every day I look at Matthew and is astounded by how quickly he is growing up. It makes me so sad everytime he hits a new milestone or accomplishment. I’m proud of him but sad. I wished he would stay my little baby a little bit longer.

Evan is such a cutie! And that teddy bear is a lot bigger than him (too cute!). I remember when I was really young, there was this HUUUGE stuffed tiger that I had. Later, when I was teenager, and I dug out that old tiger, it was not big at all! I was just tiny.
Oh yes, and I still have my security blanket
