A Story of Joy

Hello dear buddies~ hope all is well! Wanted to stop by for a quick update. There are so many things going on and I’m running out of time before our baby bunny gets here. I just keep getting heavier and slower. I leaned on a cabinet door and it broke off. My mom told me to make sure I’m not having twins since my belly is so big~ lol! Aside from lots of aches & pains I’m just hanging in there and trying to be diligent. Hope to catch up with you soon! *hug*
A Story of Joy

There are many pieces to this story of Joy.
* The greatest compliment: I went to this salon for over 6 years but had never actually had any conversations with this one stylist until that day. She told me that she had been watching me over the years and could see that I was a really happy and content person. She said that I inspire other people to also strive for that kind of joy in their lives. That was one of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received.
* A gift: Last year for our four year anniversary (before I was pregnant) Andy got me a blog. He surprised me by transferring all of my old Xanga posts and even setting up my own domain name. [I know I’m still not there yet but one day soon!] Here is an excerpt from the surprise message he wrote to me…
I wish that we continue to find happiness and Joy in our lives.
* A Christmas sign: Last Christmas we brought out our tree but never ended up putting any decorations on it because we were busy planning Evan’s birthday party. One day I was at a craft shop and found an ornament I loved. I ended up hanging it up on the tree and it was actually the only one for the entire season. This was all before even knowing I was pregnant!

So yes, our baby bunny’s name will be Joy! The best reactions I’ve gotten so far are~ Jenny, that’s so you!, that’s a perfect name! and that word reminds me of you! Thanks buddies!!!

awww. like how you made some of those photos look vintage/old.
I wish we could meet one of these in person because through the years of making friends with you over the blog world, you really are one the MOST sweetest people I’ve ever met. It all comes through in your words ….
I am so excited to meet your little bunny girl Joy, such an adorable name!
All your pictures are fabulous! I die with the iPhone Love set! (what apps are those?)
xoxoxo to you!
i love the name Joy!
can’t wait to see your bundle of joy. (no pun intended).
We considered naming our baby bunny LOVE. because there’s so much love in our lives and bc she’s our love child. hA. decided it would probably be better to have it as her middle name
the pic of evan with his grandpa is so precious! and i adore the pics of him and bella!!!!
What a meaningful name to give your baby~ I can’t wait to see your baby!
aweee this is such a sweet post love. Yes yes yes I can’t say it over and over again, Joy really iS the perfect name her~ it’s truly SO you, and sounds perfect. WHat do you mean you’re huge????! I just saw you and you’re still SOOO little!!!! I know that I always tell you look great, because it’s true- but you’re glowing~~ and always do look really really HAPPY. It must be Joy~
See you soon!
What a sweet name with such meaning behind it.
Evan looks like he grows every time you update! I bet he’ll be such a good big brother. Bella looks like such a calm doggie, how in the world do you get her to pose for photos?! How did you foster such a great relationship between Evan and Bella? Our dog is not really “allowed” near Luke most of the time because she keeps licking his hands and his hands are always in his mouth now and I’m finding it hard to take care of her when I’m taking care of the baby. Any advice?
beautiful stories and “JOY”… so meant to be. can’t think of anything more suitable for your baby Joy!!! love the buddy pics of evan and bella!
Seriously… JOY is a perfect name for your daughter. I’ll pray that she will live up to her name and how her mama lives her life… full of joy and thanksgiving.
aw soo sweet! That is such a beautiful name- Joy. You can’t say her name without smiling
that’s a beautiful name =o)
Joy is a beautiful name. So many ‘signs’! (it also happens to be my daughter’s middle name). :D
I cannot wait to meet baby Joy! What a perfect name! When you told me, I seriously thought…how PERFECT! =)
Baby Joy is sooo loved already. This eemo can’t wait to meet her. And I can’t wait to see how great of an older brother Evan is!
@JayMonKeee - You are soooo sweet buddy~ thank you! You always make my day with your super nice comments. I feel the same way about you! The iPhone app is Instagram. If you haven’t tried it yet you’re going to love it!!!!
@chopsuey119 - I love M’s name & middle name! She is already SO loved and will always be! =)
@sooae - Buddy~~ you’re so nice to me! Thank you! No one ever says I look great~ esp. since I’m always hanging with one pregnant Miss Korea and one pregnant supermodel~ lol! *hug*
@hana_sj - Lol~ Bella is calm most of the time but she totally has her moments of craziness. We’ve tried to train her not to lick from even before Evan was around. It still happens sometimes though when she’s overly excited. I think we were more concerned when he was smaller. My pediatrician told us though that growing up with a dog is actually really good for kids~ studies have shown it decreases their chances of allergies/asthma. I think the best part is just seeing their relationship grow and now they can even “play” together. Sorry I don’t have any good advice since we didn’t do anything really specific! I remember reading that somewhere to give them a lot of chances to be together~ it makes it so that they both get really used to being around each other and so it’s less stressful esp. for the dog. The first thing I’d say is to try to stop the licking habit (easier said than done!) so that you won’t have to worry about them being near each other. You’re going to be so happy when they finally start interacting and you see how happy your dog will make Luke! =)
@parkster7831 - Parkster!! Haven’t seen you on Xanga in forever! I thought maybe that meant you updated your new blog…but nope. There’s still time since you said at least once every 2 weeks. Once I have the time I’ll be joining you in the WordPress world. =)
awww what a great story behind the name of my soon to be niece!!! evan looks soo mature and big in that jacket in the father’s day photos!!! the evan and bella sleeping/cuddling photos are ADORABLE!!!
Beautiful name for an undoubtedly beautiful little girl! You and Andy are ridiculously perfect for each other. I can’t believe how thoughtful he is. I still remember when he made that book from your xanga entries before too. So sweet! The iphone pics are absolutely adorable. =) Take care of yourself mama!
I love the photo of Evan and the dog staring at each other with just inches away. So cute!!!
@skippeeahn - My dog is usually very low key/calm but just can’t control herself when she’s excited which is whenever my husband is around. She never gets attention now so whenever she gets the littlest bit she starts licking away even though we trained her not to. I really look forward to them growing up together, I hope it’ll be like Evan and Bella! (and I forgot to mention before, you look GREAT!)
yay! sorry i jumped the gun and kept making references in my previous comments heehee. but i love the name! it suits your life so well j <3
Super cute name, and love that there is a story behind it! Also love Evan + Bella photos… as usual.
Too cute of a story and just like you! It is a perfect name! And you look so cute pregnant too!
JOY! What a beautiful name! It is so appropriate. Even before I met you in person, I could tell that you are a happy and content person.

Aw love the name too! It must be getting tougher as you get heavier with baby but hang in there! Seriously your husband is so awesome to get you a blog, what a perfect gift!
Awesome post Jenny! I’m so happy that you are having a baby girl. You have given her the most precious name! Jenny & Joy! What a dynamic duo! I know she is going to bring so much happiness and joy to your lives. You are blessed with a wonderful life and thanks for sharing it us. Did I tell you how amazing you look each time I see you!!!
