A long time ago I remember hearing about the Apprentice auditions and it seemed tedious. You have to submit like a 10 minute video, wait in lines with hundreds of people, etc. I didn’t think it would ever be worth the trouble.
Then…I get this e-mail from the casting director of the Apprentice saying they’re looking for a Los Angeles based attorney. They’re filming in LA next season so they really want an attorney from the area. At first I thought everyone at my firm got it but then some of my co-workers actually didn’t get it.
So…I sent in a few pics, my resume and bio…all the while thinking this was a long shot. She actually wrote back to say the producers are interested in meeting me! They’ve made it so easy! I highly doubt I’ll get on though…I’m just a normal gal. I’m not argumentative, I’m not crazy, I don’t have a good story. Plus, would I even want to be on the show? We’ll see…

Go for it! It’d be a fantastic opportunity and once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’d love to do it myself except I’m probably even more “normal” with a much more boring current occupation.

and thanks for your comments…it was scary having my mom back at the ER but thank goodness indeed to have her back to normal. and if you ever do get your backyard…please…pay someone to put the grass down! so much work….*sigh* but it is nice to be able to walk on some nice gool grass

haha… don’t go on it, Jen. The whole appeal of reality shows is to enjoy the plight of others. All it takes is some simple reality show editing to make people look crazy, stupid, silly, pompous, bitchy, etc.
thats awesome! if you get it, go for it! my cousin was on it, and he didnt win, but everywhere he goes people still ask him about. its a good opportunity!

That is awesome!! Don’t doubt yourself…just think of it as a job interview. Obviously you are a very successful person…otherwise you wouldn’t have received the email and be an attorney! Good luck.

– were on it. my hubby and i stopped watching it this season, but i think we’ll probably tune back in for the l.a. one just cause it’s always interesting watching a show that’s filmed in your neighborhood.

ryc: that’s very interesting to hear that you want a picture drawn of it. i saw a post somewhere about an artist who actually draws pictures of people’s wedding dresses and couldn’t believe she could charge $400. frustrating since i can do the same thing, but 10 times better. perhaps i’m in the wrong industry…do you think this type of this would be very popular?

i am a big fan of doggy-daycare! i wish i could send lola there everyday, but my co-workers yell at me if i don’t bring her in. lol~ i am so excited about the obedience class, i just want to be able to communicate with my puppy better.

ryc. thanks for the referral. i’m leaving again in a few weeks and i’ve made an appt with the loved dog for a screening. i love the idea of a cage free kennel and that they get to sleep with their friends. =)
